After your Surgery

Please follow these general rules that complement the instructions you will receive from your physician.
  • A physician will authorize your discharge from Lake Tahoe Surgery Center.
  • Follow your physician’s instructions regarding diet, rest and medication.
  • We advise patients not to drive, make important decisions or sign important documents for at least 24 hours following the procedure. Please have a family member, close friend or responsible adult drive you home.
  • Plan to have someone stay with you for the first 24 hours after your procedure.

Our staff will call to check on your progress and answer any questions. If you should have any specific questions about your recovery, please call your physician.
